Violent crime and armed robberies in Argentina
Overview
Argentina has experienced a series of violent robberies and armed assaults across multiple regions. Early reports detailed incidents in La Plata, where a judge and her son were held captive for 90 minutes, and in Mar del Plata, where an armed group intercepted a family. Additionally, a visually impaired man was physically assaulted by a group of at least seven individuals in José C. Paz.
Subsequent reports highlighted further violent home invasions. In Mendoza, armed individuals assaulted a woman and a man with a disability during a residential break-in. In City Bell, a group of five armed suspects targeted an elderly couple, using a weapon to threaten a homeowner during the theft of cash in both pesos and dollars.
