José Luis A. C. Arrest Order Revoked in Crematorio Plenitud Case

A federal judge in Mexico revoked the definitive suspension that had blocked the execution of an arrest warrant against José Luis A. C., the owner of the Crematorio Plenitud. The decision restores the active order to detain him if located, after the judge found that the owner failed to meet the conditions required for the provisional suspension, including appearing before the First Instance Criminal Court.

The case stems from accusations of illegal burial, exhumation and mishandling of human remains, with investigators uncovering 386 embalmed bodies awaiting incineration at the crematorium in Ciudad Juárez. José Luis A. C. had been held preventively since June 2025, released in February 2026, and now remains subject to the reinstated arrest warrant. Prosecutors from the District Prosecutor’s Office, the Unit for Crimes Against Peace, Security of Persons and Public Faith, and the Amparo area are coordinating efforts to locate him, and the Federal Prosecutor’s Office has reportedly requested Interpol assistance, suspecting he may be in the United States.
