Joseph Brot and Resch&Frisch form strategic bakery partnership

Austrian family-owned bakeries Joseph Brot and Resch&Frisch have entered into a strategic partnership to launch a range of organic products made from rare heritage grains. The collaboration aims to expand market potential for organic artisanal baked goods and strengthen domestic value creation in Austria by utilizing local raw materials and working closely with Austrian agriculture.

The joint product line includes three items: ‘Bircher Müsli Weckerl’ made with ancient spelt, ‘Brioche Bagel’ featuring Sipbachzell wheat, and ‘Korn Krusti’ made with Lungau Tauern rye. Starting September 14, 2026, these products will be available nationwide through the Resch&Frisch ‘Back’s Zuhause’ home delivery service.

Under the agreement, Joseph Brot’s products will be 80 percent pre-baked and delivered frozen to be freshly finished at home. Georg Resch, owner and managing director of Resch&Frisch, stated that the partnership focuses on cooperation rather than competition to support high-quality Austrian products and a diverse breakfast selection.
