Austrian bakery companies Joseph Brot and Resch&Frisch have entered into a strategic partnership to launch a nationwide range of organic baked goods made from native ancient grains. The collaboration utilizes local raw materials, such as ancient spelt, Sipbachzeller wheat, and Lungau Tauern rye, to support domestic agriculture.

Starting September 14, 2026, the product line—consisting of Bio-Bircher-Müsli-Weckerl, Bio-Brioche-Bagels, and Bio-Korn-Krusti—will be available through the Resch&Frisch ‘Back’s Zuhause’ home delivery service. To maintain freshness, the items are 80 percent pre-baked and delivered frozen for customers to finish baking at home. Georg Resch, owner and managing director of Resch&Frisch, noted that the partnership emphasizes cooperation over competition to promote high-quality Austrian products.
