Josh Berry discusses challenges securing 2027 NASCAR ride
NASCAR Cup Series driver Josh Berry has expressed the challenges of securing a ride for the 2027 season. Following the announcement that he will not return to Wood Brothers Racing in 2027, Berry has been engaged in wide-ranging discussions to find a new team.
Berry noted that some potential opportunities have required significant financial backing, citing one instance where a team requested ‘three million dollars’ to secure a driver. He is currently working with KHI Management, owned by Kevin and DeLana Harvick, to navigate the search.
Despite a difficult start to the current season that left him 30th in the driver standings, Berry has recently seen improved performance with top-10 finishes at Indianapolis and Iowa. He stated that his current focus is on maximizing results in the remaining 13 races of the season to bolster his professional standing.
