Josh Berry secures first top-five finish of 2026 at Iowa Speedway
Josh Berry secured a fourth-place finish at the NASCAR Cup Series Iowa Corn 350 at Iowa Speedway, marking his first top-five result of the 2026 season. Driving the No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing Ford, Berry overcame mid-pack qualifying and pit road struggles to demonstrate strong long-run pace during the 350-lap race.
The performance comes at a critical juncture for Berry, who is currently a free agent for the 2027 season after being informed he will not return to Wood Brothers Racing. Despite a difficult season that saw his results decline from his previous years with Stewart-Haas Racing and Wood Brothers, this finish helped him move from 33rd to 30th in the NASCAR Cup Series points standings.
NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. praised the performance on social media. Berry expressed optimism regarding his momentum, noting that the car’s handling made the race easier once they found their rhythm, and stated he intends to continue the streak at Richmond.
