JOST acquires German logistics firm CTJ Janssen GmbH
The Belgian-based logistics group JOST has signed an agreement to acquire CTJ Janssen GmbH, an established German transport and logistics company headquartered in Grevenbroich. The acquisition, advised by IMAP, is intended to strengthen JOST’s presence in Germany, which is considered Europe’s largest logistics market.
CTJ Janssen has operated for over 40 years, specializing in road transport, logistics, and warehousing, primarily serving the food, beverage, and consumer goods industries. The company generates an annual turnover of approximately 135 million euros and employs around 650 people. Its operations include a fleet of roughly 400 trucks and over 500 trailers, alongside 5,000 square meters of warehouse space.
Upon completion of the transaction, the JOST group will employ approximately 4,000 people across ten countries and operate a fleet of about 2,100 trucks and 4,500 trailers. Roland Jost, Managing Partner of JOST, stated that the acquisition is a significant step in the group’s long-term growth strategy, aiming to optimize network usage and increase operational flexibility through the integration of complementary strengths.
