José Antonio Neme involved in motorcycle collision in Las Condes

Chilean television presenter José Antonio Neme was involved in a traffic accident in Las Condes on Friday night. While driving a Mazda, Neme collided with a motorcycle at the intersection of Alonso de Córdova and Los Militares.

The motorcyclist, identified as a 30-year-old Venezuelan food delivery worker, sustained injuries to his thorax, head, and limbs, including a leg fracture. He was transported to Clínica Las Condes and is reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the collision, specifically whether one of the parties crossed a traffic light while it was red. Security footage shows Neme's vehicle was stationary at one point before the impact, though the exact sequence of the light changes remains under review by the SIAT of Carabineros and the Fiscalía. Neme underwent alcohol and drug testing, which returned negative results. Investigations also noted that the motorcyclist was reportedly undocumented and the motorcycle lacked proper documentation.
