Journalist Tânia Laranjo criticizes housing protest violence

Journalist Tânia Laranjo has addressed recent housing rights demonstrations held in Lisbon and Porto. While expressing solidarity with those struggling to afford homes or rent, she criticized the presence of hatred and violence during the protests.

Laranjo reported witnessing hate speech directed at police, incitement to violence and occupation, and instances where journalists were threatened while performing their duties. She emphasized that a just cause does not justify illegal or violent actions.
