An armed confrontation and extortion attempt occurred at the Regina Palm resort in Radhimë, Vlorë, targeting businessman Vasil Bedinaj. A group of approximately 10 to 20 individuals, some reportedly armed, entered the premises and demanded a 5 million euro fine, threatening Bedinaj to leave Albania within 48 hours.

Following the incident, police established checkpoints across Vlorë, Fier, Himarë, and Tepelenë. During a high-speed pursuit, a black Range Rover failed to stop at a checkpoint in the Alikoce region and subsequently crashed at the Peshkëpi Bridge. Three occupants were in the vehicle: Luan Muça, who was driving, and brothers Klaudio and Mandrit Lleshaj. Muça and Mandrit Lleshaj sustained injuries and were transported to Vlora Regional Hospital, where they are reported to be out of life-threatening danger.

Police also intercepted another vehicle in Fier containing Kosovar citizen Blerim Heta, who was arrested. Authorities seized a pistol and a magazine with 16 rounds from the crashed vehicle, and found three additional bullets in Heta's vehicle. Five individuals have been arrested, while six others remain wanted. Investigations are ongoing to determine if the conflict stems from property disputes regarding investment projects in southern Albania.
