Journalists and women reportedly targeted at RN congress in Orléans

During the Rassemblement National (RN) congress in Orléans, multiple incidents involving security personnel and party activists were reported. Journalists from Mediapart and Politis faced physical aggression, including being forcibly removed, pushed down stairs, and having equipment targeted. In one instance, a Mediapart reporter was evacuated by security while being subjected to verbal abuse.

Additionally, reports emerged alleging that security guards at the event were instructed to check if women were wearing bras. This measure was reportedly intended to identify members of the Femen group. Such physical checks by private security firms are strictly regulated under the French Internal Security Code, which generally requires express consent and specific legal frameworks for body searches.
