JP Nadda inaugurates healthcare facilities in Andhra Pradesh

Union Health Minister JP Nadda has inaugurated 10 Critical Care Blocks (CCBs) and 12 Integrated Public Health Laboratories (IPHLs) in Andhra Pradesh. The facilities are distributed across various medical colleges and area hospitals, including GMC Kadapa, AMC Visakhapatnam, and Area Hospital Araku. Nadda stated that these developments are essential for building a resilient health security architecture capable of both saving lives during critical illness and detecting disease threats before they escalate into emergencies.

Separately, during the 79th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for South-East Asia in Timor-Leste, Nadda highlighted India’s public health advancements. He noted that India has received international recognition, including WHO awards, for the sustained elimination of maternal and neonatal tetanus and for leadership in managing non-communicable diseases through primary healthcare. He emphasized India's ongoing commitment to technology-driven healthcare solutions and regional cooperation to achieve universal health access.
