JR East and KAGENAZO launch mystery-solving travel project

JR East and the mystery-solving creative team KAGENAZO have announced a collaboration titled ‘Otona no Kyujitsu Club no Nazotabi,’ scheduled to launch on September 20, 2026.

The project features two distinct types of content designed to promote regional revitalization. The first is a free web-based mystery game accessible to anyone via smartphone or computer, where players search for contradictions within a website to solve puzzles.

The second offering is an exclusive experience for members of the ‘Otona no Kyujitsu Club.’ This involves a location-based mystery tour set in the Hiraizumi area of Iwate Prefecture. Participants will use their smartphones to navigate through various World Heritage sites and local landmarks in Hiraizumi, completing a personalized story route as they explore the town.
