JR East to resume Uchibo Line service between Anegasaki and Nagaura
JR East has announced that service on the Uchibo Line between Anegasaki and Nagaura stations is expected to resume starting from the first train on November 9, 2026. This follows service suspensions caused by damage from Typhoon 25. The resumption of this section will also allow the limited express “Sazanami” to resume its full route on the same day.
In preparation for the restart and to remove temporary turnaround equipment at Nagaura Station, service will be suspended all day on November 8 between Anegasaki and Kisarazu. While substitute bus services will operate between Anegasaki and Nagaura on November 8, no substitute buses will be provided for the Nagaura to Kisarazu section. A shared cycle service currently operating between Anegasaki and Nagaura will remain available on November 8.
