Jürgen Klopp addresses Greek national team performance

Jürgen Klopp has addressed the recent performance of the Greek national team, taking full responsibility for the tactical decisions and lineup that led to the recent result. Klopp described the outcome as an unavoidable part of the team's evolutionary process, noting that while a large victory was not required, the team should have avoided a loss.

He emphasized that the team is still in its early stages, having been together for only a week, and noted the difficulty of breaking down an opponent that employed a deep defensive strategy and long-ball tactics. Klopp maintained that the tactical setup and all substitutions were entirely his own initiative.

This follows a period of significant professional connection between Klopp and Greek player Kostas Tsimikas. Tsimikas, who moved from Olympiacos to Liverpool in 2020 following Klopp's recommendation, recently expressed deep gratitude for the coach's mentorship and belief in his talent during their time at Anfield.
