JSW MG Motor India launches Hector Tomahawk EV and PHEV
JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the MG Hector Tomahawk, an SUV built on the company’s first Multi-New Energy Vehicle platform, known as Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology (ADAPT). The vehicle is available in both all-electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions.
The EV model features a 69.2 kWh battery providing a certified range of 517 km and supports up to 90 kW DC fast charging. The PHEV variant combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 20.5 kWh battery, offering over 115 km of pure-electric range and a total combined range exceeding 1,100 km.
MG is offering a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model alongside traditional ownership. Under BaaS, the EV starts at an introductory price of ₹13.99 lakh plus a ₹4.90/km battery rental, while the PHEV starts at ₹21.79 lakh plus ₹3.20/km. For full-vehicle ownership, the EV starts at ₹19.49 lakh and the PHEV at ₹25.69 lakh. Deliveries for the EV are expected to begin in September 2026, with PHEV deliveries starting in November 2026.
