Juan Carlos Ferrero linked to Jannik Sinner coaching rumors

Speculation is growing within the professional tennis circuit regarding the potential coaching move of Juan Carlos Ferrero. Following his departure from coaching Carlos Alcaraz at the end of the 2025 season, Ferrero has indicated he intends to return to the tour in 2027.

Reports suggest that Ferrero may join the coaching staff of world number one Jannik Sinner. While no official agreement has been confirmed by either party, Ferrero previously expressed openness to the possibility in an interview with Corriere della Sera. Sinner currently works with Simone Vagnozzi and Darren Cahill, though Cahill’s status for 2027 remains undecided.

Tennis coach Rick Macci suggested that such a move could actually benefit Alcaraz by providing additional motivation and mental strength to overcome his former mentor in competition. Alcaraz is currently working with Samuel Lopez, his former assistant coach.
