Lotería Nacional issues commemorative Juan Gabriel tickets

The Lotería Nacional has unveiled a commemorative ticket series dedicated to the late Mexican singer Juan Gabriel. The release honors the tenth anniversary of the artist's death, which occurred on August 28, 2016.

For the Sorteo Superior number 2896, scheduled for August 28, the institution has produced 2.4 million tickets featuring 10 different designs of the singer. The draw will offer a grand prize of 17 million pesos split across two series, with a total prize pool of 51 million pesos.

During the presentation, Lotería Nacional director Olivia Salomón noted that Juan Gabriel's music helped unite a diverse Mexican population and challenged the social conventions of his era. The commemorative issue is expected to serve as a collector's item for fans of the artist.
