Members of the Sumar parliamentary group have asked the Spanish government to disclose details about the invitation extended to Valencian president Juanfran Pérez Llorca by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for the World Cup final in New York. The inquiry seeks the type of ticket provided, its monetary value, and which entity covered the travel, accommodation and other expenses.

Pérez Llorca has publicly stated that he paid for the trip out of his own pocket and that no public funds were used. The RFEF confirmed that it invited him because of his official position but did not cover any costs. Neither the trip nor the ticket appear in the Transparency Portal or in the official travel registers of the Valencian government, prompting opposition parties to request further documentation on the allocation of federation tickets to public officials.

The debate highlights concerns over the criteria used by the RFEF to grant complimentary tickets to high‑ranking officials and the transparency of any indirect public spending linked to such invitations.
