Jude Bellingham agrees to Real Madrid contract extension until 2031
Real Madrid has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Jude Bellingham to extend his contract until June 30, 2031. The new deal would add two years to his current agreement, which was set to expire in 2029, and includes improved financial terms to reflect his importance to the squad.
The move is seen as a strategic effort by the club to secure its core talent and prevent interest from Premier League clubs. Beyond his on-field performance, the club views the 23-year-old midfielder as a future leadership figure for the dressing room, capable of following in the footsteps of veterans like Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos.
Bellingham recently reached a milestone of 150 competitive appearances for the club, contributing 49 goals and 36 assists. His recent form has stabilized following a period of physical challenges, including a shoulder injury that required surgery. Under the management of Jose Mourinho, he has found greater tactical freedom playing behind Kylian Mbappé.
