Jujuy advances tourism through new airline routes and 2035 strategic plan
The province of Jujuy is advancing two major initiatives to bolster its tourism sector. First, JOY Airline is preparing to launch new flight routes connecting Jujuy to the national network, with operations projected to begin in September. The airline, which recently received its first Bombardier CRJ-200 LR aircraft, aims to offer a service model distinct from traditional low-cost carriers, featuring a 2x2 cabin configuration and services tailored to both corporate and leisure travelers.
Simultaneously, the Jujuy Secretariat of Tourism has presented the ‘Sustainable Tourism Strategic Plan Jujuy 2035’ to the provincial legislature. This long-term roadmap includes 21 programs and 71 projects designed to develop the Puna, Quebrada, Valles, and Yungas regions. The plan focuses on environmental sustainability and universal accessibility, featuring infrastructure and product developments such as the Solar Train and astronomical tourism.
