Argentina provincial leaders advance infrastructure and economic diversification
Argentine provincial leaders are implementing various economic and infrastructure strategies. In Neuquén, Governor Rolando Figueroa concluded an official tour in Washington, meeting with the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank to secure financing for infrastructure. The goal is to prepare the province for a post-Vaca Muerta era by diversifying the economy through tourism, services, and production.
In Entre Ríos, Governor Rogelio Frigerio is focusing on industrial support and rural connectivity. He announced a refinancing scheme for large industrial electricity users to mitigate the impact of rising costs in the Wholesale Electricity Market. Additionally, Frigerio met with rural associations (CRA and Farer) to address the maintenance of rural roads and is overseeing the progress of Route 20 to improve regional connectivity.
Other regional developments include municipal efforts in San Juan and Buenos Aires provinces, such as urban modernization projects and coordination for religious pilgrimages.
