June–August 2024 Jazz Concerts Sweep Italy

In June 2024 a nationwide programme of jazz activities organised by the ANSJ and partner venues unfolded across Italy. Highlights included the ANSJ Jazz School in Torino, the "Karma Jazz 7‑tet" at Hotel Billia in Asti, the Orchestra Jazz Siciliana concerts in Palermo, master‑classes and seminars in Bergamo, a "Note Per La Pace" series in the Monastero Valmarina, and a series of performances in Rome, Siena, L'Aquila and other cities.

On 7 August 2024 the Luigi Martinale Quartet performed with the Chamber Orchestra of the Conservatorio Ghedini di Cuneo in Legnano (Milan province). The concert, part of the JAZZaltro festival, featured Martinale’s new album "Invisible Cities", a musical interpretation of Italo Calvino’s novel, and included international musicians Zaza Desiderio (drums) and Yuri Goloubev (double bass).
