Football clubs in Latin America announce coaching changes
Several Latin American football clubs have undergone coaching changes due to recent performance issues.
In Colombia, Junior de Barranquilla officially dismissed Alfredo Arias following a poor start to the season, despite his previous success in winning two consecutive league titles. The club has appointed club legend Sebastián Viera as the new head coach to stabilize the team.
Millonarios also parted ways with manager Fabián Bustos after seven months, citing a lack of regular results and collective performance. The club appointed Omar Rodríguez and Guiam Carlos Espinoza as interim replacements.
In Guatemala, Comunicaciones FC replaced Chilean manager Marco Antonio Figueroa with interim coach Kevin García following a loss in the Clásico against Municipal. In Bolivia, Flabio Torres left Real Potosí to return to Colombian football, with Giancarlo Umaña emerging as a potential successor.
Additionally, in Costa Rica, Amarini Villatoro declined an offer to manage Comunicaciones, choosing to remain with Club Sport Cartaginés.
