The European Broadcasting Union and Maltese broadcaster PBS have confirmed that 16 nations will compete in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The live show is scheduled for 24 October 2026 at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali, Malta.

Participating broadcasters include Albania, Armenia, Cyprus, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy (Rai), Malta, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Spain and Ukraine. Martin Green, the contest director, said: “We are happy to welcome 16 young artists of talent to Malta. Junior Eurovision celebrates creativity and fosters international understanding through music.” PBS CEO Keith Chetcuti added that hosting the contest for the third time is “an honour” and aims to deliver a world‑class show.

The 2025 edition, held in Tbilisi, Georgia, attracted 16 million viewers and set a new digital‑platform record, prompting high expectations for the 2026 event to become one of the most‑followed youth music competitions worldwide.
