Junior Eurovision 2026: Montenegro and France announce details

Preparations for the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest are underway, with broadcasters in Montenegro and France announcing key details regarding their participants and coverage.

Montenegro’s broadcaster, RTCG, has internally selected nine-year-old Mija Vujović to represent the country. Vujović, a student at the British School in Podgorica and a member of the Zvjezdice children’s choir, will perform “Muzika Nas Spaja” (Music Unites Us). Her entry is intended to promote music as a universal language of unity.

France Télévisions has confirmed that Stéphane Bern will return as the commentator for the event. Bern, who has commented on the contest annually since 2018, will provide solo commentary this year without a co-commentator. The French broadcaster also announced a lineup of programming, including a warm-up show titled ‘Dans les coulisses de l’Eurovision Junior’ on France 2, and various appearances by the French representative, Alec, on other network programs.
