Argentina rolls out multiple public infrastructure projects
The government of Chubut province began work on a new storm‑drain conduit in Comodoro Rivadavia, a project valued at more than ARS 16.7 billion that will expand the city's capacity to evacuate rainwater to the sea.
Chubut’s governor Ignacio Torres and Río Negro governor Alberto Weretilneck signed a joint agreement for a sub‑surface 33 kV electricity line spanning 26 km between the El Coihue and Golondrinas substations, an investment exceeding ARS 17 billion aimed at replacing the El Bolsón thermal plant and strengthening regional power supply.
The Chubut Provincial Education Council met with the Fundación Banco Santa Cruz to coordinate pedagogical and administrative agendas, focusing on strengthening technical‑professional education and improving resource‑allocation processes.
In Junín, the municipality completed an expansion of the potable‑water network in the 11 de Julio neighbourhood, investing over ARS 8 million after a 55‑year community request for better water services.
Municipalities in the Buenos Aires province also carried out school‑facility upgrades: Trenque Lauquen implemented expansions and refurbishments at several schools, and the town of Tanti completed paving, new air‑conditioning units, renovated restrooms and interior painting at the rural school in Villa García.
These coordinated works aim to improve essential services and educational infrastructure for residents across several Argentine provinces.
