Juárez and Ramos Arizpe water agencies upgrade supply amid outages and renovations

The Juárez Water and Sanitation Board (JMAS) inaugurated the first of six renovated water‑purification modules in the Los Kilómetros neighbourhood. The new facility, part of a 100‑million‑peso program, serves 150‑200 families and includes upgraded pumps, a new tank and free distribution of 70 water bottles to residents.

In Ramos Arizpe, the Municipal Water and Sanitation Company (EMAS) sent water tankers to neighborhoods after a traffic accident knocked down a power line, disabling two main wells. The outage left thousands without service for more than 30 hours. Repairs restored one well on June 23, and EMAS continues to monitor pressures while high summer demand pushes consumption to historic levels.
