Juárez property tax collection rises under surcharge discount program

Municipal authorities in Juárez have reported a significant increase in property tax collection following a special operation launched on October 1. The initiative offers a 100 percent discount on surcharges for overdue payments.

As of October 12, the Municipal Treasury reported that 1,638 receipts were paid under the discount program, totaling 10,792,382 pesos. This represents an increase of 1,306,991 pesos compared to the same period last year.

For the current year to date, total property tax collection has reached 2,120,321,380 pesos from 351,073 receipts, showing growth over the previous year's figures. Officials encourage citizens to continue utilizing the 100 percent surcharge discount through October, November, and December to reduce outstanding debt.
