Juárez municipal tax discount programs

Overview

Municipal authorities in Ciudad Juárez have implemented initiatives to increase property tax collection through surcharge discounts. Following the launch of a special operation on October 1, which offered a 100 percent discount on surcharges for overdue payments, the Municipal Treasury reported a significant rise in revenue. By October 12, the program had processed 1,638 receipts totaling 10,792,382 pesos, an increase of 1,306,991 pesos compared to the previous year.

To further assist residents, the Revenue Directorate announced the deployment of a Mobile Treasury Unit to the Rinconada de las Torres neighborhood. This itinerant service allows taxpayers to pay property taxes, access late fee discounts, and request deferred payment options directly in their community. Revenue Director Blanca Dolores Romero Aguilar stated the goal is to bring services closer to citizens to assist those who face difficulties visiting central administrative offices due to distance or work schedules.
