Justicia para Nuestros Deudos demands search for Plenitud owner

The activist collective 'Justicia para Nuestros Deudos' has called on the State Attorney General's Office to reactivate the search for José Luis A. C., the owner of the Plenitud crematorium. The request follows the expiration of a judicial suspension that had previously protected the businessman from an arrest warrant.

According to the collective, José Luis A. C. failed to appear before a control judge within the timeframe established by the Sixth District Court, causing him to lose his legal protection. Spokesperson Dora Elena Delgado Barraza stated that the prosecution should now pursue an Interpol Red Notice and consider offering a reward for information leading to his location. The collective reported seeing photographs of the individual allegedly in restaurants in El Paso, Texas.

In addition to the search, the collective criticized the prosecutor's office for its perceived lack of firmness in defending the interests of the affected families. They also challenged a 10,000 peso guarantee set by a federal judge as a condition for the initial suspension, labeling the amount disproportionate to the impact on the victims' families.
