Jutaro Yamanaka cast in TBS drama ‘Iroha no Koi wa Toki o Kakeru’

Jutaro Yamanaka, a member of the dance and vocal group M!LK, has been cast in a regular role for the TBS Tuesday drama ‘Iroha no Koi wa Toki o Kakeru’. This marks his first regular appearance in a Golden Prime (GP) time slot series.

The romantic comedy, which is scheduled to begin in October, follows a story where the soul of an Edo-period woman time-slips into the body of a modern-day elementary school teacher. The series stars Mone Kamishiraishi in a dual role as both the modern teacher and the Edo-period woman, alongside Koji Mukai of Snow Man.

Yamanaka will portray Reiji Majima, a second-year teacher characterized by his mental strength and ability to handle pressure from parents and colleagues. He described the casting as a personal goal and expressed enthusiasm for the balance between the show’s fantastical elements and its realistic depiction of school life.
