Cultural festivals across Europe and the Balkans commence

Various cultural and artistic festivals are taking place across the Balkans and Europe. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European Days of Jewish Culture have commenced in Sarajevo with the theme ‘Love’, featuring lectures and exhibitions to promote intercultural dialogue. Additionally, the 14th Juventafest international high school theatre festival opened in Sarajevo, with Jasna Diklić delivering an encouraging message to young participants. The play ‘Derviš i smrt’ is also embarking on an autumn tour across several municipalities in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.

In Croatia, several festivals are active, including the 19th Amateur Theatre Festival (FAK) in Slavonski Brod, the 57th Golden Thread of Slavonia Festival in Požega, and the 56th Trogir Cultural Summer. The Sklad Bakar women's choir also expanded its international cooperation through a concert in Postojna, Slovenia.

On the international stage, the 83rd Venice Film Festival is underway, highlighting major cinematic works and attracting global stars like Robert Pattinson and Susan Sarandon. The festival features diverse programs, including the ‘In Focus’ selection at the Mediterranean Film Festival in Široki Brijeg, which presents documentary films from various countries.
