Juventus fields Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik in pre‑season friendly

Juventus released the squad for its first pre‑season match of the 2026/27 campaign, a friendly against FC Basel scheduled for 18 July 2026, and included Polish forward Arkadiusz Milik among the players selected.

Milik’s contract with the Italian club runs until 30 June 2027. After a season largely lost to injuries – he featured for only 34 minutes – Italian media reported that Juventus were discussing an early termination of his deal. His presence in the squad indicates that new manager Luciano Spalletti intends to give the striker a chance to demonstrate his fitness and value.

Following the Basel game, Juventus will embark on a tour of Asia and Australia. Milik’s longer‑term future at the club will depend on his performance during the pre‑season period.
