Juventus remains Italy's most supported club despite declining fan numbers

The 2025/26 Sponsor Value research, conducted by StageUp in partnership with Ipsos Doxa, reveals that Serie A football fandom in Italy remains stable at 25.6 million supporters, representing 68.5% of the national population.

Juventus maintains its position as the most supported club with 7,741,000 fans, though it has experienced a decline of 1.6% for the second consecutive year. Inter Milan holds second place with 4,275,000 fans (+2.3%), followed by AC Milan with 3,976,000 (+4.2%). Napoli continues to grow, reaching 3,079,000 supporters (+1.4%), securing fourth place.

The demographic profile of fans is increasingly balanced by gender, with men comprising 55% and women 45%. The largest age group is between 35 and 54 years old (47%), while those under 24 make up 16%. Geographically, 39% of supporters are located in Southern Italy and the Islands, while the Northwest accounts for 26%.
