Juventus proposes €250 million capital increase following €66m loss

Juventus Football Club has reported a consolidated loss of €66 million for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, marking its ninth consecutive year of deficits. Total revenues fell 10.4% to €474.7 million, driven by declines in broadcasting rights and player registration income. Despite these losses, the club saw a €20.3 million increase in sponsorship and advertising revenue, bolstered by agreements with Stellantis Europe and Visit Detroit.

To stabilize its financial structure and support sporting competitiveness, the Board of Directors has proposed a capital increase of up to €250 million. Majority shareholder Exor, controlled by the Agnelli-Elkann family, has committed to subscribing to its portion of approximately €164 million and will provide an immediate €60 million advance. Exor has also offered to act as a guarantor for any unsubscribed shares.

The club's stock experienced a significant decline following the announcement, hitting levels not seen in over a decade. Management intends to use the new capital to strengthen the balance sheet, invest in strategic assets like the Allianz Stadium, and enhance brand value. Future financial stability remains heavily dependent on returning to the Champions League, as competing in the Europa League is expected to result in significantly lower revenues.
