Leon Goretzka targets Juventus as club focuses on other priorities

German midfielder Leon Goretzka’s contract with Bayern Munich ends in June 2026. After a planned move to AC Milan collapsed following the club’s loss of Champions‑League football and a reshuffle of its sporting hierarchy, his agents have approached Juventus. Juventus’ hierarchy, led by Luciano Spalletti, acknowledges Goretzka’s quality but says the club’s immediate priorities are securing a goalkeeper and a striker, and the lack of Champions‑League revenue limits its ability to meet the German’s €6‑7 million net salary demand. Spalletti has praised the player’s experience and leadership, but the club has opted to “take time” on the deal. Inter Milan’s sporting director Beppe Marotta has also shown interest, citing the club’s Champions‑League participation as an advantage. Goretzka himself said, “I will decide when I feel the moment,” indicating he is not rushing into a decision. Juventus may still consider a reduced‑wage offer if the player remains on the market later in the summer.
