AC Milan and Juventus report annual losses for 2025/26 fiscal year
Major Italian football clubs AC Milan and Juventus have released financial reports for the 2025/26 fiscal year, both showing net losses.
AC Milan reported a net loss of approximately €24 million on revenues of €464.6 million. The club attributed the deficit primarily to the absence of European competition, which resulted in an estimated €70-80 million loss in potential income. Despite this, the club saw record sponsorship revenue exceeding €100 million and maintained high matchday attendance, averaging over 72,000 fans per game.
Juventus reported a significantly larger loss of €66 million. The club's revenue fell by 10.4% to €474.7 million, impacted by lower player transfer proceeds and reduced media rights. To address the deficit and support long-term competitiveness and infrastructure projects, the board has proposed a capital increase of up to €250 million. Majority shareholder Exor has expressed support for this move and committed an immediate advance of €60 million.
Both clubs are focusing on operational efficiency and brand growth to stabilize their financial positions, with Juventus aiming for a return to profitability by the 2027/28 season.
