Juventus targets scouting overhaul and new midfield talent

Juventus is actively restructuring its technical and scouting departments. The club is reportedly favoring Davide Cangini, currently the head of scouting at Sassuolo, to lead its new player recruitment network. This move aims to combine data analytics with traditional observation to identify talent more efficiently.

In terms of player recruitment, Juventus is monitoring several targets for the upcoming transfer windows. The club has shown significant interest in Marseille midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg. Juventus scouts were recently present at a Denmark national team match to observe him, though the player suffered a muscle injury early in the game. Despite the setback, a move in January remains a possibility.

Additionally, Juventus and AS Roma are reportedly competing for the signature of 22-year-old midfielder Issa Doumbia. While both clubs have expressed interest, Sporting Clube de Portugal maintains a high asking price of 80 million euros and appears reluctant to sell the player, who is under contract until 2031.
