Juventus targets Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie

Juventus is actively scouting Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie as a potential free‑transfer signing. The 28‑year‑old, who recently featured for Ivory Coast at the World Cup, will become a free agent on 30 June when his contract with Egyptian club Al Ahly expires.

The club’s sporting director has indicated that Kessie’s physicality, tactical intelligence and experience in Serie A suit Luciano Spalletti’s system. Juventus hopes the player could replace or supplement Teun Koopmeiners in midfield. Kessie’s agent, George Atangana, is scheduled to meet Juventus officials in Milan to discuss terms, though the proposed salary is reported to be in the double‑digit annual millions, posing a challenge for Juventus’s current budget constraints.
