Juventus weigh future of striker Loïs Openda amid European interest

Belgian forward Loïs Openda has struggled at Juventus, scoring only two goals in 37 Serie A appearances since his €44 million move. The club, facing a high salary and low resale value, is exploring options to move him, including a possible loan with a purchase clause.

Four European clubs have shown interest. Three are from France – his former team Lens, Olympique Lyonnais and Rennes – while Coventry City from England’s Premier League has also inquired. Lyon’s pursuit is the most concrete, but Juventus says it will evaluate all offers carefully before deciding.

Openda is training in Portugal during the off‑season and remains focused on improving his form, while Juventus intends to retain bargaining power and avoid a loss on their investment.
