Jysk acquires 25 stores in Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia

Danish home furnishing retailer Jysk is transitioning from a franchise model to direct ownership in three Eastern European markets. The company has reached an agreement to take full control of 25 stores located in Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Albania.

Jysk has maintained a presence in these regions for several years, having entered Kosovo in 2004, North Macedonia in 2008, and Albania in 2015. CEO Rami Jensen stated that the move aims to integrate these countries into the company’s own organization, allowing for direct investment in future expansion, stores, and employees.

The acquisition follows a period of financial growth for the company, which recently reported an annual turnover of 52.3 billion DKK for the 2025/2026 fiscal year.
