K-ryhmä integrates Plussa loyalty card into Apple Wallet

K-ryhmä has integrated the Plussa loyalty card into Apple Wallet, allowing customers to use the card on iPhone and Apple Watch via NFC technology. This update enables users to collect benefits and use Plussa money at all K-ryhmä stores by simply bringing their device near a payment terminal, replacing the previous method of scanning barcodes through the K-Ruoka app.

In addition to the Apple Wallet integration, K-ryhmä is introducing a fully digital membership option. New customers can opt out of receiving a physical plastic card, and those with lost or damaged cards can choose a digital-only replacement. According to Toni Jarimo, director of the K-Plussa customer program, this shift toward digital memberships could potentially reduce plastic consumption by up to 1,000 kg annually.
