Ka Ying Rising sets track record in Chief Executive’s Cup win

The Hong Kong racing season commenced at Sha Tin Racecourse with Ka Ying Rising securing a dominant victory in the HKSAR Chief Executive’s Cup. The David Hayes-trained horse achieved its 21st consecutive win, winning the 1,200m Group Three race by 7¾ lengths.

Ka Ying Rising set a new track record with a time of 1:06.11, which was 1.84 seconds faster than the standard time. The performance follows a highly successful previous season and establishes the horse as a significant contender in upcoming sprint competitions.

The season opening featured a ceremony led by Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu. The event also included a performance by Club Ambassador Aaron Kwok, marking the end of the two-month summer break for the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
