Kaduna security operations lead to arrests and new abductions

Security operations in Kaduna State have resulted in the arrest of 12 suspects, including eight suspected kidnappers and four alleged informants, during raids in the Millennium City and Maraban Rido communities. The Kaduna State Police Command reported recovering AK-47 rifles during these operations, which were conducted alongside other security agencies to combat banditry.

In a separate incident in Zaria, armed bandits reportedly abducted Lamido Muhammad, a Supervisory Councillor for Special Duties, and his two sons, Aliyu and Amir Lamido, from their home in Wucicciri. The whereabouts of the victims remain unknown.

To bolster security, the Kaduna State Government has provided three additional Armoured Personnel Carriers to the police. Commissioner of Police Muhammad Rabiu has also ordered the deployment of more tactical personnel and operational vehicles to improve response times and surveillance in high-risk areas.
