Kahraba Expo 2026 showcases energy efficiency solutions in Algiers

The second edition of Kahraba Expo 2026 is taking place from October 13 to 15 at the Palais des Expositions in Algiers. The international exhibition for electricity and renewable energies features over 60 exhibitors presenting technologies related to electrical equipment, solar energy, energy storage, and renewable energy solutions.

A primary focus of the event is energy efficiency and managing consumption peaks, particularly during periods of extreme heat. Startups and young companies are presenting innovative systems to address these challenges. For example, the company ALVIZ is developing a system designed to manage electrical loads by distinguishing between primary and secondary appliances. This technology aims to temporarily pause secondary equipment during high-demand periods to prevent consumption spikes and potential power outages, while allowing users to monitor consumption and bills in real time.

The program includes technical seminars on micro-grids, urban lighting, and digital technologies, alongside roundtables discussing energy mastery and the internationalization of Algerian companies.
