Kahramanmaraş Azerbaijan Neighborhood Receives New Asphalt Roads
The Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality completed a major road‑improvement project in the Azerbaijan neighbourhood. Over 2 km of main streets were resurfaced with approximately 5,000 tonnes of hot asphalt, raising the total investment to about 18 million Turkish lira. The work, coordinated by the city's Road Construction, Maintenance and Repair Directorate, modernised three principal avenues, creating an alternative route to the heavily used Azerbaijan Boulevard and aiming to ease traffic congestion in the city centre.
The upgraded infrastructure is expected to enhance driving comfort and safety for residents and commuters, supporting the municipality’s broader post‑earthquake reconstruction and urban development plans.
