Kahramanmaraş Experiences Heavy Rain and Severe Weather Warnings

The Meteorology General Directorate issued a strong weather alert for Kahramanmaraş and 61 other provinces, warning of intense rain showers, flash‑flood risk, lightning, hail, strong winds and possible tornadoes. The expected downpours began as clouds turned gray, bringing a noticeable drop in temperature that made midsummer feel like autumn.

Authorities urged residents to stay cautious, avoid low‑lying riverbeds and other flood‑prone areas, monitor official updates and limit travel unless necessary. Traffic conditions were affected by reduced visibility and brief storms, and the public was advised to use umbrellas and raincoats while remaining alert to sudden weather changes.
