AK Parti expands presence in Kahramanmaraş with new members

The AK Parti Kahramanmaraş organization held an expanded Provincial Advisory Council meeting at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Cultural Center. The event focused on regional development, reconstruction efforts following recent earthquakes, and significant political shifts within the province.

During the meeting, 24 municipal council members from the Dulkadiroğlu, Türkoğlu, Göksun, and Ekinözü districts resigned from the Yeniden Refah Party to join the AK Parti. Additionally, Dulkadiroğlu Mayor Mehmet Akpınar and Türkoğlu Mayor Mehmet Karaca officially joined the party.

AK Parti Kahramanmaraş Provincial Chairman Burak Gül and MP Vahit Kirişci addressed the assembly, emphasizing unity and ongoing local services. Kirişci highlighted that 73 projects worth approximately 50 billion lira have been initiated in the region over the last three years, covering sectors such as agriculture, water infrastructure, and housing to support a population that has grown by 20 percent compared to pre-earthquake levels.
