Türkiye Culture Road Festival begins in Kahramanmaraş and Kayseri

The Türkiye Culture Road Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has launched in Kahramanmaraş and Kayseri. In Kahramanmaraş, the festival runs from September 12 to 20, featuring 208 events across 14 locations. The opening ceremony was held at the historic Kahramanmaraş Castle, which has recently undergone restoration following the February 6 earthquakes. The program includes concerts by various artists, exhibitions, workshops, and gastronomy events highlighting local specialties like Maraş ice cream and sömelek köfte.

As part of the festival, the ASELSAN Children's Festival is also being held in Kahramanmaraş, offering interactive science and technology experiences for children through September 20.

In Kayseri, the festival focuses heavily on gastronomy through the ‘Lezzet Noktası’ (Flavor Point) project. Gastronomy professionals and writers are visiting 34 designated locations across several districts, including Melikgazi and Talas, to showcase traditional dishes such as Kayseri mantısı, pastırma, and yağlama. The initiative aims to promote the city's deep-rooted culinary heritage and production traditions to a wider audience.
